Hello everyone and Happy Easter! Since I'm behind on a few of reviews, today we're going to do another segment of Quick Movie Reviews! This time around we'll be discussing Godzilla vs. Kong, Nobody, and Bad Trip.

Godzilla vs. Kong is directed by Adam Wingard and is the latest chapter in Legendary's MonsterVerse. This time around, we see Kong clashing with Godzilla as humans lure the ape into the Hollow Earth to retrieve an energy source to stop Godzilla's mysterious rampages. This film is incredibly boring. Despite stunning VFX work, solid direction, decent performances, and phenomenal action sequences, the film as a whole is uninteresting and is very difficult to follow. It also dosen’t help that the human characters are very uninteresting, and I also felt that Godzilla and Kong didn't have nearly enough screentime.

Final Grade: C

Nobody is directed by Ilya Naishuller and stars Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell, a father and bystander who after intervening to help a woman being harassed by a group of men, becomes the target of a vengeful russian drug lord. I went into this film with very low expectations due to my limited knowledge about it, but I'll admit it really surprised me. While I did feel that the violence was a bit excessive, this film is incredibly well paced, has fantastic direction from Naishuller, and overall I had a very good time watching it. This is definitely a film I would recommend watching.

Final Grade: B+

Bad Trip is a Netflix Original Film directed by Kitao Sakurai and stars Eric Andre and Lil Rel Howery as two friends who embark on a cross country road trip with the latter's sister's car so the former can profess his love to his high school crush. The film also sets up a number of hidden camera pranks which are incorporated throughout. I can definitely see why a film like this got greenlit, because on paper this is almost like a Borat-esque type of movie. However the execution and screenplay here is incredibly poor. The film as a whole is not very funny, and I honestly was not as entertained as I wanted to be. However, the film features some great chemistry between Andre and Howery, and it's always nice to see Tiffany Haddish.

Final Grade: C+
