Hello Everyone! I haven’t done one of these in quite a while, however since I'm behind on a lot of reviews, today we're going to do another segment of Quick Movie Reviews! This time around we'll be discussing Wonder Woman 1984, Soul, Uncle Frank, and Monster Hunter.

Wonder Woman 1984 is directed once again by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot reprising her role as Wonder Woman. This time around we follow Wonder Woman who after reuniting with her past lover Steve Trevor, must face off against Maxwell Lord and friend turned-enemy Cheetah. This was a pretty solid movie. Gal Gadot once again delievers a fantastic performance, and the film as a whole has an impressive visual style. While I felt that there was a lack of action sequences and Cheetah's character was a bit underdeveloped, I was entertained for the most part and I was never really bored throughout the film.

Final Grade: B

Soul is Pixar's latest film as well as a Disney+ original directed by Pete Docter and follows Joe Gardener (voiced by Jaime Foxx), as he must venture his way through the soul world to get back to his body after an accident separates them. This film is absolutely marvelous! The animation is superb, the story expertly blends humor, heart, and emotion, and the voice work from the entire cast is terrific.

Final Grade: A

Uncle Frank is written and directed by Alan Ball and stars Paul Bettany and Sophia Lillis as Frank and Beth Bledsoe as they must travel down south to attend the family patriarch's funeral, all the while being unexpectedly joined by Frank's lover Wally. This was easily one of the best films of 2020. The performances are incredible and the film's pacing and tone create a film that really sucks you in and I was captivated from beginning to end. Overall just damn good filmmaking.

Final Grade: A

Monster Hunter is written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich as Lt. Artemis. After she and her soliders get transported to another world, she must team up with a mysterious hunter to defeat the deadly monsters that roam the land. I may be heavily in the minority, but I actually really enjoyed this movie. Millia Jovovich did a great job in her role, the action sequences were well done, and the monsters looked incredible and terrifying. Might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I certainly didn’t hate it like a lot of other critics.

Final Grade: B
